62″ x 58″ x 21″ Finished with tung oil, varnish, wax and shellac. $40,000.
Inspired by furniture from the late 18th, and early 19th centuries, the simplicity of the design is offset by the highly decorative figure in the veneers. This is a massive chest of drawers, with eighteen deep, hand dovetailed drawers of various widths, supported on solid maple runners. There’s lots of space for lots of stuff. Additionally, there are dust panels between the drawers, so that each drawer is its own enclosed space. Built from solid Honduran mahogany, sugar maple, satinwood and ebony veneers, I can change the combination of woods to suit your needs, or as is always the case with custom work, change everything and build something uniquely yours.
